The Costco Adventure..

Hi all,
Life for me this week has been a little crazy busy with Halloween activities and studying for a physics test. I feel I have neglected my blog, but then the thought hits and I remember, it is only Tuesday and there is still a long week (or short) week in front of me.
I do want to say that my prayers and thoughts go out to all the Sandy Victims on the East Coast! I am thankful my friends survived, the storm with little damage done. But to those who lost a loved one or a home, my heart goes out to you!
So last night one of my roommates and I went to a Halloween party and here is the picture we took.

It was fun, I kind of love dressing up for Halloween. Though for some reason last night my fake eyelashes were annoying the heck out of my eyes. (Especially, the right one.)
Tonight, my roommates (there are 2 of them) and I went to Costco, and well we kind of got some food. Those of you that shop at Costco know that it is almost impossible to get in and out of there without spending at least a hundred dollars. I am proud to say I didn't spend that much! (yay me) I was laughing, or should I say more shocked when we packed my roommates car full of our food, I couldn't believe my eyes, I guess we all had Planning for a disaster on our brains.

Remind you, that is three single girls stuff. I could only imagine what it would be like if we all had families, or at least a boyfriend we had to shop for!
I need to be off and running.

Halloween Time

Hi all,
Halloween Time, once again! Bwhaha I actually like dressing up, but I hate coming up with the ideas for the costumes! (I am grateful for my friends, because for the past few years they have helped me come up with my costumes!)
This year I was going to be a pumpkin, but I had a great friend with great inspiration come up with an idea. It was last minute, we were walking out the door and inspiration hit and before you knew it (less than 15 minutes and 4 outfits later) I was a school girl, or Brittany Spears (not sure if I spelled that right) it just all depended on who you asked as to who I was. Here are the pictures from one of the parties I went to.

There are the pictures from just before we left. My eyes look funny cause I was wearing fake eyelashes and my eyes weren't use to them! I had a fun night. We went Latin Dancing and I am learning that I can dance and after years of saying I can't, I am learning all this time I could, I just had to get over how awkward I felt while I was dancing. I also am learning how to shake my hips, and Salsa dancing is an awesome way to learn that! As I learned from some really patient amazing, guys at the dance, it is one, two, three, and if there is a fourth beat, it is one, two three, hip and I also learned that I was a fast learner. haha I think they were being to nice.
Now only two more dances and a few more parties to go to and I believe I will be all Halloween-ed out!
Anywayz, I need to get going, I have a physics test I get to study for!

The Bitter Cold!

Hi all,

So today it didn't snow instead it was bitterly cold. I don't really get along with the cold and it was so cold my bones were frozen. haha but really it was freezing. On my way to school today I took a picture and here it is:

It is snow in the mountain tops! I know snow is much needed water for the state but I sometimes wish it would be eighty degrees and snowing! How cool would that be? I know that will never happen, but I can keep dreaming and wishing that it will one day! Anyways I need to get studying for a huge physics test!

SNOW... SNOW...

Hi all,
So today here in Utah it snowed... Yep that is right, the white stuff fell from the sky and landed on the grass and trees, and sadly put me in a grumpy mood! I don't like the white stuff! I will get use to it, but I don't like it because my appetite increases cause my body is trying to stay warm.
Here is the picture of another snow storm moving in to the valley, I took this picture on my way home from school today! I love the clouds and grey skies, if only it would stay warm.
Okay I am sorry for complaining, maybe this is the year Laci learns to love LOVE LOVE LOVE the snow... by getting out and doing more outside.
I will say though I do love the fall time because of all the sports that are on TV. I mean, you can watch, Hockey, Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Rugby, all in one day! So I guess, I need to get use to being inside as well, and watching sports is a good way to spend time, when I am not doing my Physics homework.
Anyway, I need to be off and running, and I am sorry if I put you in a bad mood!

Sick... Sick...

Hi,
I am sick, sick, sick and someone please take it away! I wish I was sick in the teenage slang way but alas, I am sick with the same old same old struggle of this year! No one knows what it is! I am sick and tired of being sick and tired! As I look at my pictures from this year, I can see just how sick I have been. I can see it in my eyes and in the way that I am sitting in the pictures as to how much pain I have been in.
I feel better for a few days then wham all I want to do is sleep and sleep and feel nausea and then I force myself to get up and go and be! I know I am not pregnant, I just wish I knew what it was!
Anyways, I don't want to focus to much more on how I have been feeling, instead I want to look at the happier side of things!
I really am not looking for sympathy as I know we all have our struggles we suffer with. So in happier news here is what I have been unto. I went to my friends Lego 29th Birthday Party!

I have this awesome app on my cellphone that tells me random holidays that occur each day and one was national chocolate cupcake!

There are the cupcakes I made, they were chocolate, with homemade chocolate cream cheese frosting with chocolate sprinkles!
And finally I did take pictures of the short Autumn season that Utah gets! Here are some of my favorite pictures!

Ode to the Cheesy Pick-up lines!!

Hi all,
I don't know why, but lately I have been trying to encourage people to us the dumb cheesy pick up lines. A few of my guy friends have gone for the idea, while others look at me in complete aww that I would suggest such a thing!
I have found that sometimes the pick up lines work and when they don't you need to evaluate the like factor. If the person likes you they are going to see it as cute and if they don't they are going to see the pick up lines as creepy!
I have found two good songs that use only pick up lines! I stumbled across them one day and they are what inspired me to write this post.






I know if the right type of guy uses a cheesy pick up line with me it works. One of my all time favorites I have heard and it was used on me was this, "My day was cloudy and gray and then you came in and it is now full of sunshine!" I know cheesy and I find it super cute. I would encourage all my readers out there to start using the cheesy pickup lines! haha
I need to get back to studying and life.

The Fall Break...

Hi all,

Today is the Monday after the fall break, and I am tired and worn out but looking back I had the funnest time ever. It started out with the much needed girls time, and I know this might seem a little lame but here is the itinerary of my last week starting with Monday of last week.

MONDAY- I slept in until 11:30 then I got up and cleaned my room and worked on some homework and I just chilled at my apartment. It was way relaxing. I did make a nice little mess it was fun watching the papers fall to the floor.  I then talked to my little sister who is teaching English in China, into the wee hours of the morning.

I made that mess! Yep I did! 

TUESDAY- I got up went on a hike with a few friends of mine. Tell you the truth I was tired and not really wanting to go but I am so glad I went on the hike. We did a hike called Dog Lake. It is one that can be accessed either from Big Cotton Wood Canyon or Mill Creek Canyon.  This is the 4th time this year I have done the hike and I must really enjoy it to keep going. Here are some of the highlights from the hike.

WEDNESDAY- This is when the fun started! I got up and packed and headed over to my friend J's house to meet up with a group of friends. We were headed to southern Utah, Goblin Valley to be more exact. It was so much fun. So it was a 4 or so hour long drive down there. We got there and set up camp and then we went and hiked Canyonlands national park that is over in that part. It was fun here is the highlights from that hike!

Thursday:  We got up and yes we did go camping! Anyways we got up and we got ready and we headed over to Ding and Dang Slot Canyon! Here are the Highlights from that amazing hike!

When we were all worn out and tired we headed back to camp and had a fun time: Here is the highlights.

Friday: We got up and took down camp in the rain. Yep it rained on us and luckily none of my stuff got to wet.

Once camp was taken down we headed back to Goblin Valley, this time only the men in the group went and played among the goblins because it was raining and cold and I was tired and worn out. Here are the highlights though: 

Did I mention while we were back at Goblin Valley it rained really, really hard on the men! Once they were done playing in valley of Goblins we drove home. Later Friday Night, I went over to my friends house and watch the Lord of the Rings the extended version and I would like to say I didn't fall asleep at all!!!

SATURDAY: I played catch up and hung out in my apt. Felt good to stay home. Then my friend held a Feast of the Tabernacles and I went to that then went to a Lego birthday party!

Sunday: I went to church and then went to my friends house and chilled. We did go to a pumpkin party, that was way fun! 

I would have to say Last week was the best week for hiking and hanging out with friends and making new friends.
